Considering that I am working / living abroad as a US citizen, the best option would be email / phone calls / Skype sessions -- in other words, professionals that do not only server their clients out of a brick-and-mortar establishment.Does anyone have any recommends on a) how to find qualified and experienced professionals in the REI realm and b) what type of critical questions should be asked during the first phone call / interview to ensure the individual has the current experience with today's market?

.), I'm sure you're aware of the floodgate of new, insane tenant protection laws that hit the books in 2019 since the democrats took control of both houses of the legislature, like no more screening for evictions, potential eviction delays of up to 12 months, limited security deposits, limited app fees, etc.Unfortunately, the worst is potentially yet to come, and in Jan the new legislative session opens and on the docket this year the democrats are attempting to pass state-wide rent control (OR and CA already passed this in 2019), and good-cause eviction, which would be devastating to the real estate industry throughout the state, and also exacerbate the low-income housing crisis by completely cutting off housing investment in that real estate class.
