The LLC will give you anonymity you will most likely be a pass-thru anyway for tax purposes.In the case of litigation any lawyer worth a dime will be able to break down the barrier of your LLC and you personally.

Now if you know that drug dealing is going on for sure, make an anonymous phone call to the police a few times and eventually they will connect the dots, if he is a big fish, if not do what Mike suggested in a round about way.

Sometimes you just want to be anonymous and the name isn't important.All things being equal, I would pick a short name because signing your name as member so and so LLC get very tiring when you have to use it on 5 or 6 different places on a contract.

My arguments are: it's redundant (good liability insurance is CYA enough), you don't have the benefits of anonymity anyway after your little QCD broadcasts your intent to the world, they are harder to finance and insure, and they are a pain tax-wise.
