Just got my license four months ago and have been trying to soak up as much as I can and talk with as many people as possible.

Costs ran significantly over on both of these items and not being in the area it was not possible for me to add my experience in renovations to lowering them.

Hello @Jared Leggett,I agree with @Nicholas L.Westchester and Suffolk Counties have median multifamily (2-4 unit) pricepoints that are about $200K below what you'd find within the boroughs (excluding the Bronx & S.I.).That said, it is possible to househack in these markets with ~ $50K.

Yep very possible, that's not to say lenders don't contribute towards that buydown too. 

I would have focused on the highest paying W2 I could find/achieve as early as possible in a field I enjoyed;2.
