The addition includes a large bedroom, bathroom, and walk in closet.

I am a fan of checking in occasionally to make sure the cleaner is on top of things and to do a walk through to check safety things like deck boards and steps, railings etc.

I like long walks on the beach, fine dining and travel....woops!

I was thinking perhaps it would be easier to just bring a general contractor to walk the site and provide an estimate on all the rehab costs, rather than to find separate contractors for each specialized task.For those of you who have worked on fixer-uppers, did you bring a general contractor to walk the property with you and give an estimate on rehab costs?

You are renting and you get 40 or 50 requests for “buyers” to walk through your home every day for the next week while the house is auctioned off.

I refused to walk the unit so I had to take my husband's word for it.This leads me to believe the screening is fairly lax.

We removed 4 walks (including load baring), installed 2 walls, added half bath, replaced all plumbing and electrical, added new eye brow porch, painted full exterior (changed color), replaced all flooring, new bathroom and kitchen layout with everything replaced (shower, cabinets/vanity, counter, appliances, etc), stocked with new furniture, added mini split, removed gas/wood fireplace and added a new electrical fireplace, and placed initial STR tenant in 2 months and 1 week.  

-Your FHA inspector is going to have to walk into all available spaces in the property and your loan will not be approved if there is an additional living space (non conforming unit) on the property. 

Go for a single or even a walk...What do I mean by that?

You gave away control of the situation and you're going to get walked on until you take it back.
