If the Broker is sued, does he then sue the Salesperson to recover any amount lost from the suit?

My point is: don't stress about 2% - look at the bigger picture and see if this is the right return on investment to suit you. 

I want to call the shots in my own life and be my own boss, and I believe real estate is the vehicle that suits me best.

Once this one is closed, rent checks are coming in and you can see how expenses iron out, etc you will be much better suited to identify a better deal in that area/market.
