I used Roofstock to sell one of my rental properties in TX as their sales commission is lower than going through traditional sales channels. 

A block can transition from appreciating to depreciating within ten houses so you have to learn where it is ebbing and flowing.

I would suggest starting with reading the IRC book all the way through multiple times.
