Know how many doors you knocked, how many people actually answered, how many people gave you their contact info, how many appointments were set up as a result of your doorknocking, how many of those appointments turned into signed contracts, etc...

In both instances, there were numerous trips to the home, numerous appointments with the tenants, numerous co-pays and in the end the problem was not resolved.
