I tend to agree that people will always come up with a work-around (see Prohibition, or Anti-Gun legislation, or fill-in-the-blank)It'll be interesting to see where this goes, it could set a lot of precedent for the nation.....

Applying legal and common standards will reduce or remove almost all of the tenants that will cause the majority of the anti-social behavior.

No statute authorizes the anti-lapse statute to be applied.

House is worth X today cash and won't finance so you buy for a discount, fix it, value add, get it to where it can finance and hold it for 90-180 to meet the anti-flipping rules...well then maybe everyone is a winner.Also no reason you can't take the license classes, but never get your license, if you just want more education.

Plus if you intend to rent, being anywhere outside the city limits of Seattle helps avoid Seattle's just cause ordinance as a landlord among many other anti-landlord policies in play. 

The amount of anti-discrimination compliance training I've received is freaking endless, but at no point has any of that training included a single iota of "be careful you don't treat veterans better than non-veterans, or it's unlawful housing discrimination!"

@Lesley Resnick yes, if each component is under $2,500 and does not violate the anti-abuse rule in Regs.

Housing is private sector but governed by lots of anti-discrimination laws.
