Either that or pop the top to add a 3rd story with insane city views, but then it might stick out (in a bad way) in this block of 2 story, 1920s spanish homes (mine is the newest on the block, 1952 traditional :-) ).

You are essentially paying yourself to be GC.The only synergy gained is now the owner to GC management is removed.If you have time/abilty and want to manage a crew, then do it.Alot of it depends on how much time you have and how much that time is worth.Just don't think you won't spend more time managing crew then you would managing a GC.

If this is the case we have been doing this for many years in the UK Back in 83 when I first started buying property in Spain I never saw the property but I did meet the UK client and send them out by plane to look at the property and they were shown around by the Spanish agent.

Hi AllI am an Englishman living and investing in the Spanish Resorts, unfortunately the market here is dead and likely to be that way for many years to come especially when you take into account that the Spanish government has allowed a massive building plan over the past 10 years that has left hundreds of thousands of unsold new properties littering the coastal regions and adding to the economic downturn in property prices.
