I started to study the Kansas City market, and although I found the older neighborhoods charming (and dirt cheap), with their small town America feel and huge lots, many of the schools have terrible ratings, with the basic test scores in the pits, and bullying and disrespect for teachers rampant (tho that's pretty standard now).

The 401k is a Godsend in America where the average person can't or won't save any appreciable amount for retirement. 

Glad no Americans bought at the top or we might have had a financial crisis in America. 

I have a 30 year fixed through finance of America on one of my rentals.

I have used Wells Fargo and Bank of America and local credit unions.

Amazon is where America shops and they now incentivize every single customer to BEGIN their RE transaction in Amazon's ecosystem (people love free junk).

If either side of that equation gets cattywampus on us Austin will still be the best place in America to live. 

I have been doing a lot of research on a few countries in South America and hopefully, in the next year, I am able to start investing internally.
