I'll echo the sentiments of @Kevin Pillow - Destin (and the whole Emerald Coast) is a great option if you're looking for cash flow through STRs. 

@Bruno Ligutti I will echo the sentiments of those who posted before me.

However, there is some anti STR sentiment in much of the county.  

There’s been a ton of great advice and advocacy for each market here and I completely agree with a lot of the others’ sentiments about deciding what type of lifestyle you would like to live, where you would have the best job opportunities, and what location feels right for you first.

There might be some sentimental reason for holding onto it.

I admit I’m pretty shocked how quickly sentiment has changed in this market.

You don't change the sentiment of a multi-decade track record of decline and deterioration overnight.

What has the response rate/sentiment towards selling been like? 

I agree with the sentiment for our market, that any decrease in interest rates could lead to a surge in appreciation.
