I know a lot of residential brokers are also selling small to mid sized multifamily in Michigan.

In the past I have used a property manager but thinking of doing this myself.I was wondering if any other small landlords do anything to hide their real name and/or real address/phone number from tenants during the screening and leasing process.  

Hi all, If you use Avail currently or in the past, could you please provide feedback as I'm thinking about using them for tenant screening, lease agreements and rent collection.  

I was interested in this property because of the size and location and was able to invest a small amount to furnish it then get it cash flowing quickly.

For commercial sized apartments, the asset and the income coming from that asset are the real security behind the loan.If you are syndicating a deal, inspections are included in costs covered by partnership.  

They can help you see where you missed the mark and that will help you screen deals to find the right ones.It sounds like you have skills that can work to support a JV deal. 

My focus is small to mid sized apartment syndications if that matters.  

First, the best thing you can do is improve your screening process.

Or when I lived in Palo Alto same thing  East palo alto schools and values were 1/3  all in the same area and same size homes. 

I can pretty easily find good tenants and screen them myself.
