He knows my love for architecture, design, and real estate and his love for constrcution and bringing a project from nothing but a thought to a real life building, we decided to team up and try to do one on our own.

I have a couple of things in mind but I still would like others opinions.First off, I went to school for architecture and now I'm working a 9-5 as an estimator for a local construction company.

It would probably be in your interest to engage an appropriate contractor for a couple of hundred dollars to walk the property with you and give you a ballpark of the level of effort given the architecture and construction of the school.

I was contemplating taking a few classes in architecture or general contracting.

If you find a property that has permitting issues or needs a little architectural enhancement, I would be happy to help you out.

Also, you want to do at least a couple of jobs that require significant plan/architecture work.
