This makes them *at least* 45-50 years old, and frequently near their end of life 70 - 90 years old.On the waste side, the spalling and rust on the inside of the pipe creates a rough surface and constrictions which lead to easily plugged drains.

I assume I could get a new one which can fit down into the sewer drain and drill new screws into the concrete; however, I did not see this at Home Depot.

I know they're gonna want both.What I would do at least, center island in the middle with dishwasher, move the sink to the center island as well (your going to need water and a drain there anyway for the dishwasher) Stove where the sink currently is with a vent hood.That's just going off your picture though, hard to tell how big this space really is.

This way there are extra funds in case of delays or needed architects plans or city mandated extra work like Wired smoke detectors or running a camera through the drain to the street that was not in the budget or time schedule.

@Karen Margrave   I have one of my subdivision were we are building out the roads sewers water storm drains etc.. would that be appropriate in the new build.. we could start with the famers field show the development infrastructure going in then follow as the homes are built and if we are very lucky sold.
