I had a tenant once who would ask me almost monthly to put down new flooring for him because he didn't like the color of the current tile.

Paint was just completed and they are installing cabinets this weekend and then doing flooring, tile, etc.  

You may be able to lay tile or floors or blow in insulation or paint and texture, but let them arrange things like electrical and plumbing.   

Updated bathrooms and kitchens with new tile and granite.

We then replaced it with brand new subway tile on the walls, wood plank tile on the floors, new paint, new toilet and plumbing, and a new barn door.

The house got brand new plank tiles in living spaces, brand new subway tiles in bathrooms, and a herringbone backsplash.

The only problem is that I want to tile the bathroom floor but I'm not sure what to do about the tenant living there as well since there's only one bathroom and doing the tile work would take a few days.
