After spending 25 years as a Software Engineering and Product leader, I’m now exploring the world of real estate investing (REI) and looking forward to learning from all of you.My goal is to leverage my current investments and savings to build a real estate portfolio that will eventually allow me to transition away from my current career.

What are your long term goals?

My specialty is helping people come up with a goal and their why.  

Setting clear expectations can help you pretty much everywhere as well.

Most of the private lenders we deal with don’t require appraisals, never set foot on any of the properties they finance for us and, best of all, often finance 100% of the purchase price and renovations.

My goal is to continue to acquire more cash flowing rentals to eventually leave my day job and just self manage the rental properties.

After I reached that goal, I set a new goal of 3x the required income for financial independence with the intent of giving 2/3 of it to charity.I don't believe in leaving a massive legacy for my children.

The property is off grid, but already set up with solar and a compost toilet and things of that nature.
