Its amazing that HUD title company takes weeks and months to get a water or lawn cutting bill from a village when my realtor can get one in less than an hour.But you need to track down what the issue is first and then, hopefully, its something as easy as an outstanding bill that needs to be retrieved and paid by the asset manager.Unfortunately, they won't just let you pay it yourself or you could really speed things up.

A lot of those areas are just starting to get new development so you are taking a gamble but if the area does turn you will bank.Who knew that Roscoe Village, with an average sale price of $800k, was an area you could not walk alone in at night 15 years ago?

She must not have pulled a permit when she had this built or else the village would not have allowed them to put it up where they put it up. 

The reason being they are in incorporated villages and tend to have slightly higher taxes than areas outside the incorporated village.

I'm currently looking for properties in the Logan Square, Wicker Park, Bucktown, Ukrainian Village, and West Town area.

I did notice you have investor meet-ups every month in the Village and I'll try and attend one sometime because I am nearby (in SW) and really have no excuse.

Send them to the village/city/county welfare office for emergency housing aid.
