And I can say the flood zone, which used to end a couple of blocks south of me, now ends on the street in front of my backyard neighbor's yard.

Hi Joe,  My boyfriend and I are house-hacking in a duplex about 3 blocks from the Coliseum & New Soccer Stadium.

Is there any precautions I should be taking, like draining the hot water tank?  

One street can be just peachy, and then two blocks away, the houses are half falling down, trash in the yards, probably at least one drug den on the street.

They are not properly draining far enough from the house and part of them are not installed properly.
