I left them recently like many others have in the last 5 months and even though our money was technically an investment and a limited partner contribution, they refused to give anyone their money back even after stating numerous times they would give people their money back if they choose to leave.

These programs offer options for less money down and in some cases DPA - Down payment assistance.As a banker for over 18+ years I am very skeptical when I hear a new name in the business only because its become tougher to lend with all of the new laws and credit/insurance requirements and regulations.  

How do you figure out who you can trust to handle your money?

Its a lot of money to put into someone who's new to their life or the industry.

They simply did not desire to spend more time than it was worth to recover the money from Airbnb.

Best I can tell all in all we about 3X cash on cash over 5 years.infil lots depending on lot we could double our money in 9 to 12 months cash on cash.. so on and so forth.

We rarely have issues, but it seems like such a small investment in time and money to take one day to verify. 

You can get more money on either of those avenues..

The marginal returns drove me to seek other strategies.So, this is not a "bad" deal if you consider it more of a learning experience than one that will make you a lot of money.
