I have started to look into this sector as well after learning about the high costs for my own grandmother and the high volume of baby boomers who will be needing these facilities in high demand.

In my field (medical), you 100% need schooling as a guarantee of competence since you're working with others lives.

I also can look for threads that have new replies; any and all so not exactly what I am interested in.On the Motley Fool site (US or UK) they have a facility where you can see all the replies to any posts you have made.

Granted the search facility does not make it easy to sort things by location.You could post a thread in one of the forums requesting all the folks who invest in Canada speak up.

Note that people will want to know about your income, your credit and other personal matters as they all matter to the buy decision.Or just use the search facility to find interesting threads to read.

Likely lower transaction costs and potentially the ability to use the commercial loan facility from day 1 (either a working line of credit or a blanket facility that is already up and running).Being a cash buyer is a great way to go.

Some of the time the search facilities will not be very good but try.The state board of Realtors many times has a website where they post information.
