Section 8 rents are competitive and in some cases with specific programs (VASH for veterans and HIP for homeless) they can be above mkt rents in the area.

You'll get nasty letters and Credit Score will get negatively affected but you won't be homeless right away.

People that are homeless generally receive this and the government puts up the security deposit and rent for the tenant.
