I have 3 that I rent by the room that has more moving parts/bills etc, but I feel it’s super easy to do.

Go to Home Depot and ask about the bid room program.  

We liked the TL home and nice lakefront view but here are some cons: pretty far/isolated, no real dining options outside and besides the music festivals/BNP tournament, didn't know if it would do well as a STR. 

To their credit, the representative took note of the things we pointed out and agreed there could be room to negotiate.The one thing that really bothered me is that if you deal with any other wholesale company they will shut the door and never deal with you ever again. 

(we met some of those room-mates and they gave us the scoop as to what was going on).The building is great - brick, newly built, good condition - and based on our comps - each of the 3 bedroom 2 bath units should be renting at around $1800-$2200/month (current condition vs fixed up)The leases were were given (signed March 1 and we bought building on March 3) are $1000, $1100 for the 3 bedroom units of sis and bro and $1300 of the tiny basement unit rented by non family members.  

Her GRAND PLAN is to live in the house with the Children and then SELL it at the end of 24 or 36 Months from Now.

Now - I just noticed they are taking 18% of that (total payout)  which is inclusive of cleaning fee + nightly room fee (which is fine).

Some of their products have a toxic smell so you have to be wary of that, especially if you have animals around neither you nor them can be exposed to it.Meaning you might want to test paint a room and see if that solves your problem.Good Luck!

But, I am thinking about house hacking in the near future and renting out by the room.

And they’re still a garbage investment as 10 years from now they’ll be worth a few grand less than what you’re paying today.
