Yours wouldn't be the first friendship destroyed by a business partnership.

As @William Shaffer said, you may be able to separate business and friendship, but it's unlikely your friends will.

Even in our short time in the note space, I can already see some friendships developing... maybe they'll replace those negative Nellies!

I took a job in another region, lived out of motels, set fire to many of my friendships "acquaintances" at the time.

I miss the friendships forged there and the benefits of being in the cubicle trenches of a corporation, but overall it wasn't rewarding enough to offset my above issues. 

So I  get better results raising investment capital From people who are already bought in to the idea of investing in real estate.So for me, BiggerPockets brings me knowledge, success, and friendship.

Fortunately, my wife's entire family is in the OC, and I have almost three decades of SoCal based friendships, so we get out there a couple of times per year to "recharge our internal solar batteries".
