I didn't include it when I responded above as I thought it was obvious, but after reading your post I realised that shimming the cabinets (if they do not have adjustable feet) is probably not at all obvious to someone who has not installed floors and cabinets before.Another approach we will do in older houses where floors may belly as they move away from {load bearing} walls is to put a ledger/cleat along the wall and sit/hang the back of the cabinets on this lip.
