As stated, I've familiarized myself with different parts of the country for different reasons, (Army, commercial fishing, love of outdoors) and I've been listening to the BP podcast for a while now. 

Ifear though that with covid defaulting is possible although as of late they have been doing well, but the cooler weather is hurting out door dining.

I think a lot of new investors look at the allure of STR and see the big revenue numbers and forget how much damage your house and your furniture and your furnishings will take with guest after guest after guest staying in your houseIf you let your house and the furniture and the furnishings fall into a state of decay, what originally started as a big moneymaker will instead become a constant source of guest complaints and bad reviews and headaches and sleepless nights (for you & your guests!)

Definitely an outdoor paradise with a strong emphasis on healthy outdoor activities, plenty to see and do, all the amenities you need without being in a crowded place.

Would people recommend renting out furnished units or is it better to sell my furniture and then rent it out?

My Lake house is in a rural setting.There are still fun things to do outdoors while staying away from crowds.I've seen people come here and work and go to school remotely.It was been slam full since things opened back up rhe end of April.
