I don't even want to put in new carpet or paint until something changes otherwise it will soak into the walls and carpet and our half will always smell like cigarettes. 

Well; you have a long history of asbestos exposure, and it says here that you've smoked 1-2 packs of unfiltered cigarettes for the past 35 years.

A property that has addressed a radon problem with mitigation methods is a much safer home to live in than one that has not and I'd promote that.Of course, if you tenant pool is largely smokers, they may not care.

I do my best to not judge the book by the cover, but if I've got two contractors with equal qualifications standing in front of me and one is wearing a wife beater, looks like he hasn't showered in two weeks and has a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and the other has a collared shirt with a company logo and doesn't look like someone I'd cross the street to try to avoid, I'm going to try the guy that looks professional first. 

The whole place smells like cigarette smoke. 

I read radon is the first cause of cancer for non smokers.

Outside, cigarette butts everywhere, dog jobs, and just a mess in general, trash etc. 

Hi BP Community, What are some methods you guys have used to eliminate cigarette smoke smell from an entire house? 

I was hoping to approach this more as a "live-in flip" since most of the trouble is just that the place is nasty (smoker, carpets, etc) and needs a really good cleaning, painting all interior walls and flooring, all of which I think I can handle myself.
