@Steve Haight  I grew up in the Day's of Boise Cascade doing all their CA Huge tracks.I knew some guys that sold NV desert but not well.you also had Jeff Dennis's R ranch's a time share of a Dude ranch...

They have unbelievably high unemployment, it's a food desert, and high poverty rates, but a 1985 home for $65k renting at $1100 is otherwise tempting.

I did know one other fellow though who sold his court reporting business for 10 mil cash and he would show up to Silverado driving his beat up pickup truck but they owned a bad pad.. you hang around napa valley and the desert you will see very wealthy that have true wealth.People are people everyone does something different with their money.. but generally I find many that are very wealthy to be quite kind and respectful folks. 

I'm not familiar with Eastern seaboard rural, only desert rural which is a totally different thing.  

I live in the desert so AC is a must.

Inland Empire, Palm Desert and maybe Vegas are on our list so far...We're going to buy and hold the property.

I love the desert!

Granted my price is NOT for 1/2 acre, but much smaller. 1/2 acre in CA would cost your first born son and left arm unless in the middle of the desert!

McDonald's is always hiring.The self employed, however, cast their time and effort on the desert of risk every single day.

Home is in the desert..older home , small (500 sq ft)..rental..any suggestion?
