You can send out yellow letters, post bandit signs, connect with realtors, hang flyers on doors/door knocking, etc.

@Brian Carvajal  Just thought I'd ad some other ideas that work for us as you say you're starting out.We use a local mailing company because we like it to be stamped from the local post office that it came "our city".We have used others, and whichever one you use, works.We like yellow letters for marketing.

Hey gang,  I wanted to ask the people in the community what they thought about sourcing marketing to a site like yellow letters or open letter, or if people took the time to design the pieces themselves and maybe have them printed locally.Just looking for tips and tricks as my partner and I are getting ready to start marketing Sep. 1st. 

Additionally, I get multiple yellow cards or letters requesting to purchase my properties every month.

Out of thousands of mailers, dropping off letters on doors ,yellow letters, business cards, post cards, EDDMs, and occasional door knocks [i am kinda a shy person so this is only if I'm in the mood or feeling esp driven ;-)]) I just haven't had much success at direct marketing.
