@Stephen BagnaniI would look at a few different factors - Cost of living, in particular housing costs and taxes- Amenities, sports teams, entertainment venues, and outdoor activities that you enjoy- Crime and economic health of the region- Weather, do you prefer warm or cooler?

Baton Rouge has a local REIA that meets once a month called The RING / Baton Rouge REIA and this is a great venue to network with other investors.

Saw you post from last year - I know of a very upscale Bed & Breakfast that is expanding, due its' demand for accommodation, expanding restaurant hours and it being a number one draw for wedding venues and mansion buyouts.

They charge $20 for entry but that is to cover the cost of holding the meeting at a venue.

I think it will turn out to be a pretty good investment since there is soooo much to do in the area, plus wedding venues and the resort hotels are very expensive....although it's a bit risky in that you never know what type of neighbors you'll have.

The rest of the venues are pretty lame from experience.The trouble is that you have to check them all out unless you can get a recommendation from someone you trust that has been in the field for some time.It would be very cool to see a recommended club for each city on the BP site.

Great venue and the people are great also. 2 months ago was a huge turn out, now with the mask mandate going on it seems to have tapered off a bit but still had a great meet up and got to really know some other investors in depth at the last meeting.
