I did some research for a client of mine regarding a raffle of cosmetic surgery and raffles appear to be gambling (at least in the state he wanted to do it).It may be different if you were doing it for charity -- as in, all proceeds go to the charity and no one profits from it.

They told me because the laws are that once I'm married the other person is entitled to what I have and that if my spouse for example had a gambling problem I'm responsible for that debt too unless I had in place in South Africa what is equal to a prenup over there.

Hi Kristen, I have not gotten one from him, though I have gotten similar unsolicited emails regarding real estate from a number of addresses (lenders, with or without quotation marks, team builders, etc); ironically, I get far more RE spam that passes through my filters than any other kind.

If they can get a much higher return then the 9% and the investment is smaller then they might take a gamble with the money but it doesn't affect their overall liquidity as a small percentage of their worth.If you want premium lending rates you might have to approach friends and family.How much money are you trying to get per investor??

I once borrowed from him where he made me sign a statement (one of 100 statements) that said if I gambled away the loan funds in Vegas that I was still obligated to pay him back.
