.: Thanks everyone for your replies, it's in NJ, approx. how much time it will take for foreclosure process and how much I should be ready to spend on attorney.Once we hire an attorney, he will take care, or I also have to go court frequently.I am asking because I  have a job, it's tough to get frequent off.Trying to prepare myself for tough time ahead.Thanks again.

Im sure going after the city would really only be effective in a civil class action law suit where there is enough people and $$$ on board.Over a 6-12k fix, and battling the city alone you'll spend more money and time IMO.

I would wait a while to get them at a discount but with condos, it always feels like a gamble because of future assessments, fee increases and difficulty getting a tenant approved in a timely manner.
