Are they installing a siding block, mounting block on the house that’s waterproofed so water doesn’t run down the into your breaker box, behind siding and rot the substrate?

It hasn't been enough of an issue that I tear my hair out, but there have been a few problems:Tenants washing laundry late at night while others are trying to sleep;Someone starts laundry and forgets to finish, leaving wet stuff in the washer or dry stuff in the dryer;Someone stole another person's detergent, softener, or even some of their clothing;Tenants don't clean the machines or the laundry room after use;Those are just a few of the most common issues.

Only trouble was estimating the repairs as there are apparently some code violations that would need to fixed like rotted wood trim and a broken concrete chimney.

Yes, wood siding is more subject to moisture damage and rot, but you can pretty easily cut out a section yourself and (hopefully) replace it with an exact match.

Note that if you're on the sell side, other small things may be brought up like missing handrails, window sills/rotted trim, ventilation in attic space.

We had to make repairs due to significant dry rot damage around the windows, replaced half the siding (we were able to match existing), and then we also upgraded the electrical and plumbing.
