I know the one guy just lost a SS because Ocwen wouldn't postpone the sale.

A sale may be postpone but only by the power of the court or a bankruptcy filing.In other words, once the gavel drops on a Summary Judgment the property HAS to be sent to foreclose auction.  

I don't know how old you are, but if possible, postpone the kids until you are both ATLEAST 30 years old. 

My thinking was that a partnership would let me stop postponing my entry into real estate investing and jump in now without having to do some of the more time-consuming management and organization, while also gaining some valuable firsthand education so I would be better prepared for a subsequent deal on my own.On the other hand, our son is sleeping a little longer each week, and my wife and I have learned to be more efficient and strategically productive around the house to get a little free time here and there.   

The tax auction doesn't postpone or affect any of those. 

Or, the bank and the debtor may have worked out a loan modification or reinstatement, or postponement or deed in lieu or any number of things.

You have to know when to walk away from a deal or postpone it.You need to start doing Deal Analyses, even if you plan to invest in Syndicates; you need to understand the deals and their potential Good or Bad.
