Good morning,Thanks for taking the time to read this and help me wrap my head around this.So with the recent legislation, my understanding, is that there is a 26% federal tax credit for the purchase AND installation of Solar Panels on a residential property.

., when the 'something', whether it's money or a gift, is tied to the fact that the sale closed), the recipient needs to have a real estate license because it qualifies as a referral fee.The advice I've gotten when I want to thank a client for referring another client to me (a box of chocolates is what I usually do, sounds simple but it goes over well) is to make sure I send it when I get the referral, not after the new client's deal has closed, so that it's clearly a thank you for the referral and not connected to the closing.Probably in your state code of legislation for real estate agents this is addressed somewhere.

Creating legislation that makes section 8 voucher holders a protected class and requiring landlord to not discriminate due to type of payment, already been legislated in NE Ohio, is not the answer.

Which therefore leads us to ask the question of if it's intelligent at all for legislators to discuss this proposal in specifics and bring a bill to the floor anytime before December 2022...Tax planning becomes even more important in the wake of a change in tax law like this.

I understand the reasons for it, but I think it’s meant for a point much later when you want to fully remove yourself from day to day ops.OZ is more complex in terms of the tax consequences, but I would correct you only on the fact that you didn’t need to join initially when legislation passed in order to make it happen.

Additionally- they would have to demonstrate such a claim.If I was in a market which was "pro-landlord" and did not have every branch of my government: legislative, executive and judicial, looking to impair my business, then perhaps I would do things differently.But one thing is for sure, if I did operate in such "landlord friendly" market I would not presume to tell a fellow, successful, landlord in a more restrictive market how to conduct himself.
