I don't know if this will help you, but I have a dealt with a number of contractors in other fields and side businesses that just do not have an office or a laptop to make invoices happen.

And those things work to some degree but costs a lot on an ongoing basis.Instead focus on the fact that 9 out of 10 people now a days will go to the internet via a laptop, tablet or smartphone to research a service, product or information.

I was in my wife's car since she's out of town so I didn't bring anything with me, not my laptop, tools or anything.  

With only a laptop many can work remotely from anywhere in the world.

Sitting in a college lecture hall in 2019 you'll find majority of students on their laptops wandering aimless on Facebook, Instagram, or texting on their phones.
