Waited 2 hrs for a no show (terminix bug appointment)

Re-learned that valuable lesson tonight...No good deed goes unpunished!  LOL

I was leaving my W2 job and a young guy was on the side of the road so I stop, turns out it was a Terminix guy that was selling services and he ran out of gas.  Some new thing they have where college kids try to get new business.  I have Terminix for my personal residence and had been meaning to schedule it at my rental so I thought it was too good of a coincidence.  Dude seemed nice so I got his number to schedule a service and talked to him for maybe 5 min (he had someone coming to help him, he had ran out of gas in his gf's car).

I called the next day and scheduled the appointment for today from 5-7pm.  I was in my wife's car since she's out of town so I didn't bring anything with me, not my laptop, tools or anything.  I sat and sat, walked around the property, sat some more.  Finally at 7pm I called the 1-800 number.  23 min later I get someone on the phone.  Turns out the local office never confirmed my time slot even though I had an e-mail saying they would be there.  Now I have to wait until next week to sit around again for 2 hours waiting on them.  I so wish I would have drove by that dude...lol

Next time I will be sure to have a project to do or at least my laptop if I ever have to wait on someone again...
