If I went to the investor and said "hey, I'll pay you $x amount per month to keep living here with the intention of buying it later" would that be an attractive offer?

Either way its 100s and 100s of thousands or millions of dollars.  

I can't speak of other type locations, but here by the beach, a tiny home located close to the beach can be a very attractive rental.

Tends to attract a younger /trendy crowd.

These markets will rise until either a bunch of new supply starts coming on the market or there is a shift in population trends.Focusing just on cashflow often attracts people to areas where there are other problems.

My home is in the middle of the woods too, but it has a million dollar view that helps boost bookings.

Instead, focus on attracting the right folks who align with your investment goals.

I actually suspect when all is said and done, very little will have changed... other than hands possessing the $418 million that went from the NAR to a bunch of lawyers and the government I guess? 

PFE also has a good proximity to some of the area's attractions.

Note that we also held back $3.9 million of the $5.5 million raised in this sidecar, so there was only about $1.6 million “at risk” originally.
