You'll cut your expenses dramatically and as long as you're very clear up front that that's what you offer, I think you'll be fine - unless your market draws a lot of sports fans. :) I recommend Roku - dead simple to use and inexpensive.

Like you said, basically every electric device needs a grounding conductor that is bonded (electrical connected) to the main house ground (ground rod or ufer).
