On the spectrum of appreciation and cash flow, markets such as California are famous for appreciation but no cash flow and markets such as ( some parts of the midwest ), minimal appreciation if high cash flow. 

I happen to be on the part of the spectrum that is all in. 

Not many are really hearing the unfiltered views of both sides of the political spectrum (right, left and center).

I live on the other end of the spectrum in the suburbs of Chicago where entire homes cost the equivalent of your deeded parking spots.

@Ellis San Jose, dismal. depending on where one is in their FI journey, rate of return may not yet be the focus, or perhaps they are past the accumulation phase, or even on the far end of the conservative spectrum and prefer cashflow to roi with no debt as build a portfolio.
