So, while eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (again), I printed up a flyer (postcard size so I could get 4 copies out of each sheet of paper) and hand delivered them to every house in the neighborhood around the house I was trying to sell.

Dan,Not sure if this will help or not, but it helped me when we were starting our Construction Company about 15 years ago.I had wrote a letter to each real estate broker in town about FORMING a "Strategic Alliance" that letter opened more doors for me than all the phone calls, post cards than it every had.If you sit down with a piece of paper and write PROS and CONS why someone needs to do business with you, then go ahead and craft your letter.You will need to do this TWICE.
