As for me, ironically, this taught me that I wouldn't want to self-manage because I don't want to deal with tenants well, like me.

I can just her the wife, "honey let's have a party" OK, just put it on TV and invite the town over for a BBQ, just keep it under 10,000 people.

I find it ironic that people who consider themselves to be capitalists that subscribe to the Austrian school of economics view this landlord's actions as justified.The Austrian principles state very clearly that robbery doesn't equal murder.

And lastly, you show pictures of the back yard and mention it's available for their use, but you don't have any photos of patio furniture, a BBQ or anything else.

Shortly after he moved in he managed to put a foot through the fiberglass bath tub, which we replaced with a cast iron tub. 

I plan to take it apart this summer and clean the burners (hack saw blade to the slots) and seal up any gaps in the cast iron puzzle pieces that comprise the combustion chamber (but first I will blow theatrical smoke inside the chamber in order to suss out where any potential leaks might be).

The cast iron sewage pipes are done for and the only permanent fix is to replace the entire system with PVC. 

Ironic that many of these FDIC savings accounts get only a little more interest in a year.

& we get 4 dozen brown (Organic) eggs every couple of weeks from their chickens & their BBQ dishes are just amazing  :)

I thought we were going to go to the airport.. nope follow him a few hundred more yards to a massive gate made of wrought iron and art work.. it opens and we drive up onto a PAVED 4000 foot lighted runway on his property.. and over to his two 100/100 hangers were he had a few million in airplanes..
