I would prefer to have minimal bills and a ton of money and paid for cash flowing properties and although I too may be in a higher tax bracket, but we'd be trying to figure out which kid to gift money too, or pay for college, or vacation somewhere or donate money too.

So - for me - the positive cash flow from owning the asset and having the deductions was $3,049, the negative real cash flow from operation was -$2,184, resulting in a real net positive cash flow of $865...AND I spent around 20 days at the cabin last year, allowed my dad to stay 4 nights, and donated 6 nights to charities of my choice.I hope this was helpful to you and others.

Mostly I spend much more than I used to and do not really know why we spend so much (we do donate more but that is a small percentage of our monthly expenditures).So I do not behave as though I am set for life except for possibly on the amount we spend.I thought of retiring from my W2 job this year but did not.

These are family's retirement plans not play money.This $25K+ that I will certainly lose could have been donated to something like "A Hero's Home" @Jay Hinrichs, but instead it goes to line the pockets of these unabashed criminals.

If approved, we simply pro-rate the rent on exiting and incoming Tenant; coordinate, but do NOT "lock in" a start date for new term until keys are turned over and move out condition is documented; and we require a written agreement if any furnishings or other property is "donated" to the incoming Tenants.
