Save half the commission when you sell by using Realmart or a similar online MLS listing service, for a flat fee of a few hundred dollars they put you on the MLS and then realtors will bring buyers to you without you having to pay a listing agent of your own.

These days many lenders want buyers to pay for commission or part of it.

In Missouri, if you manage property for a third party for a commission, then you need to be licensed and working under a broker with all money running through the broker.

Am I obligated to pay a commission to their agent, or would I be able to deny the use of an agent so I do not have to pay a commission? 

I work as a full-time realtor so I had all the paperwork, resources, and skills to negotiate the deal and get it to closing without having to pay someone else a commission. 

If you want to become a full-time investor I think you would find it difficult to receive lending with a job that is based on commissions.

No realtors will take a rookie, he may take a mentor and agree to a cut of rookie commission for three transactions.
