I think some of this will rebound especially as the temperature cranks higher.  

Adobe is something that can only be used when temperatures are above freezing so I'd like to have the extra income to support taking the winter off for other ventures.Any added advice and related knowledge will be greatly appreciated!

As far as the temperature.

It is also a good reminder to check the temperature setting of hot water heaters.

It is crazy efficient at heating but only at moderate temperatures; once you start dropping below freezing you need backup, which in a heat pump is some type of electric coil system (like a baseboard heater), and that is really high electricity use.

When I do go outside, it is beautiful and like many others have noted we have so many different temperatures and different activities.

Dealing with snow and very cold temperatures seems like more overhead that I could avoid with a different location.

With it being garage ready the temperature gauge on the thermostat goes below 40*, which is nice if you ever moved it to the garage for any kind of kitchen rehab or to another property for garage use, in the winter (until it gets to freezing temps outside) the it keeps working.
