Your right, they could buy and be better off, but people need to rent for all kinds of reasons, I just look for the ones that do not have to do with credit, income and savings, and more a lifestyle reason for not buying.

I recently attended the Lifestyles unlimited seminar (2 day seminar) here in Houston,Tx and soon realized that as a self-employed woman that does not show sufficient income that leverage is going to be very problematic.

I have the passion and commitment for this lifestyle but even with me consuming as much information as my brain can handle I feel like I need to have certifications and titles to associate with my soon to be business. 

One of my goals while we are traveling is to leverage the extreme cost savings that this full time traveling lifestyle affords thereby increasing our savings/investment rate to somewhere close to 70% of after tax income.

If you are close to your goal or lets say retirement, a bunch of free and clear properties to support your lifestyle is a great option.

It becomes a lifestyle real quick.
