Here is where I think people have a disconnect…if you have a poor performing STR, why would someone else pay to buy you out and have it as a STR themselves? 

I completely agree, but I have seen a large disconnect between spreadsheet analysis and reality.

If the floor unit is electric disconnect and replace on the electric panel with wall units.

One thing I notice on some of the forums is a pretty big disconnect between what travelers are wanting to pay and what owners are wanting to charge. 

Depending on how bad is the foundation state (how many inches you have to correct), is very possible the sewer line will disconnect/break in the horizontal portions.

So yeah connections get disconnected often.

Also, if a tenant moves out and forgets to disconnect their utilities (we do remind them and follow up, but sometimes they lie -- we also can't verify as we are not the account holders), we have to provide notarized documentation that a tenant moved out, wait for that to process and then reapply again, which leaves us without power and water at most 1.5-2 weeks.Would it be best to just leave the utilities in our name, pay it and then bill the tenants directly?

And the WiFi doesn’t need to be disconnected to not turn on the TV.And no, I don’t ’check up’ on guests with the camera unless I have a reason to believe there is an issue.But I agree with others - I wouldn’t have a camera at the back ‘hang out’ area.
