Best way to pierce into Austin as a newbie is to network with other big players and top brokers. join as a LP on a deal to learn it while building your portfolio. if you want a place thats hot but less espensive then north dallas ftworth.. if you want great value add we can help you here in san antonio

We see 1% rentals in the Dallas area but generally they are off market properties. 2% rentals are pretty hard to come by and if you find one it generally makes more sense to flip it with the profit potential in it.

 I am looking for a CPA in the Dallas area that can provide advice on self-directed IRAs invested mostly in real estate.

I feel like north Dallas (Between Plano and Van Alstytene, and McKinney and Frisco) is a fast-growing area and has buy and hold potential, but I am not sure how well the flipping opportunities are within this geographical constraint. 3).

You’ll probably have to search using more non-traditional off-market approaches.And I’d look at Dallas and Salt Lake City first. 

My final decision was to keep investing in my market (Dallas Fort Worth) and just spend the money to rent a place in Disney World.
