Even when I get guests only staying two days, I show them the dishes, the pots/pans, the counter-top appliances, cooking utensils and how to operate the stove/oven.

I avoid dishes altogether by using paper plates and bowls and plastic utensils.

I have a dutch oven, slow cooker, rice cookers, baking sheets, muffin tins etc. and a billion utensils! 

I was able to get a case (96) of toilet paper for $27.  500 styro plates and 1000 plastic forks for $15.My tenants don't care about t.p. or disposable eating utensils. 

With an AirBnB/VRBO you would also need to fully furnish the property, kitchen utensils, pots, pans, bathroom and bedroom linens, all the small things. 

Of course, we also spent about $200 loading it with cheap plastic dishes, silverware, utensils, a few pots and pans, and a cheap baking pan set.

Don't buy the cheap plastic utensils from dollar tree that nobody wants to use, but also don't buy the $40-50 copper pancake turner from William Sonoma.

At move in, we now give tenants a bottle of our favorite carpet spot cleaner and show them how to use it.]CUTTING BOARDS: When using cutting utensils, Tenant agrees to make appropriate use of a cutting board, so as to not damage countertops and other surfaces.
