There is a hybrid version where the exterior walls are non-combustible (typically masonry or could be concrete) and the interior is wood.  

There are absolutely no cracks in the masonry which is on all exterior walls.

General handyman is also a must.Eventually, you will also need a licensed electrician, lawn care/snow removal person, licensed contractor (for pulling permits), masonry person, etc., etc.But first things first are the big 3.

I'll tackle just about any electrical, plumbing, framing or masonry project that needs my attention.

The box stores have masonry sealants as well.

Later we sealed gutters, repaired masonry stucco, added exterior paint, porch deck, and replaced half the windows. 3 units were totally upgraded inside inc@luding floor refinish, and paint. 4th unit in progress.

I got a masonry job quoted this summer. 8K and 25K.   

I would use a Zypex cementitious waterproofing on the inside if the walls are masonry or concrete. 

NEVER PAINT Concrete or Masonry !!
