VA Appraisals

Do any of you have experience with VA appraisals? I have heard they are pretty stringent. I was wondering if you have many or any examples where you had a VA appraisal come in for less than a non VA appraisal for the same property.

Maybe some of you rehabbers like @J Scott, who have been through many appraisals have some insight?
